A few years ago, some friends with a shared passion for classic cars and motor cycles, headed up by Darren Dupree, decided to hold a car show. The one-off event aimed to raise money for charity, whilst providing a fun day for all the family to enjoy.
Much to the surprise of the organisers, though, people then started asking what would happen next, and if a monthly meet would start up.
And so a breakfast meet was planned to judge the response. About 10 cars turned up to the first one but, as word got around, that increased to 20, then 30, with one summer meet attracting around 100 cars.
They’re now held on the last Sunday of every month from 9am until 11.30am, although these gatherings are obviously suspended…
