REINDEER DECORATION STORE CUPBOARD 4 lolly sticks Plain white paper Pencil & scissors Brown paint & brush Red pompom PVA glue & sticky tape Wiggly eyes Pipe cleaner Red wool or string A favourite photo 1 Draw the head and tail of your reindeer on the plain paper and cut out. 2 Paint all four lolly sticks, the pipe cleaner and the head and tail brown, then leave to dry. 3 Use the glue to stick the lolly sticks together to make a frame. STORE CUPBOARD 1 litre cardboard carton Pencil Scissors Paints Glue LED tea light 1 Cut off a 4 to 5cm section from the base of a carton. Tip out any left-over liquid then wipe inside both sections with paper towel. 2 Draw tall windows on 3 sides of the carton then cut them out. 3 Glue around the corners on the base section. Push the top section inside the base. Leave to dry. 4 Paint the lantern all over and leave to dry. Decorate with painted patterns or glue paper cut outs around the sides. Mini Christmas Trees STORE CUPBOARD Green pipe cleaners  Dowel or stick  Shiny Pony Beads  Scissors  Cork 1 Cut your green pipe cleaners into assorted lengths, from approx. 12cm to 4cm to create the branches for your tree 2 Starting 3cm from the bottom of your dowel, wrap the middle of the longest length of pipe cleaner around the dowel. 3 Work your way up to the tip using progressively shorter lengths to create the branches of your mini tree. 4 Add shiny pony beads to your branches as baubles. 5 Using the point of the scissors, make a hole in one end of the cork to enable your dowel to be inserted to help your tree stand up. This is the time of year when I always think, with great fondness, of my time working in a nursery that was attached to an Infant and Junior School. The lead up to Christmas was a very busy time, but was also one of my favourites.
