Some stuffed animal blanks have embroidery areas larger than 5" square, but select smaller designs in order to have plenty of room to work. Always load a full bobbin into the machine before embroidering the animal tummy so there's no need to remove the hoop during embroidery. When giving an animal to a baby or child, consider securing the zipper tab with a few hand stitches to prevent little ones from removing the body section and losing it. I’ll share a few of the best ways to get started. Perhaps the most basic way to add embroidery to a quilt is to add embroidery to one or more blocks. This will look best if the block in question is a solid piece, such as a square, rectangle or along a wide border or sashing, as embroidering over piecing can make the overall effect too busy.
