BEADS TAKE OVER Bead lovers can rejoice this season, as fashion accessories in general are seeing an increase in beading as embellishments. An all-time favourite of beading enthusiasts, the floating bead necklace is in hot demand this season and is appearing in the collections of many highly regarded fashion labels. There is also a trend toward long, falling beaded necklaces which are worn almost like body chains. In terms of colours, white and grey seem to dominate as they fulfil a more contemporary look that is currently trending. On the other end of the spectrum, beads are also being used in single earrings, bringing in an ‘80s feel.
