Herewith is another clutch of exhibitions to add to last week's list.
At Abbott & Holder, Museum Street, WC2, to March 26, there is a show of graphite drawings from George Romney. When working in wash, Romney (1734–1802) seems a remarkably modern draughtsman; these works are more obviously from the Fuseli school, but can still surprise.
In Albemarle Street, W1, Joe Tilson's acrylic on wood relief ‘postcards' in homage to Ruskin ( above ), ‘The Stones of Venice', are at Marlborough until April 2.
In Paris, the Galerie de la Présidence, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, will show paintings by Albert Marquet (1875–1947) from March 15 to May 31. Marquet, a great friend of Matisse, was a brilliant painter of light, weather and rivers.
