It’s also launched a flurry of smartphones based – frequently loosely – around its flagship U11 (Shopper 355), including the larger U11+, the dual-front-camera-equipped U11 Eyes and this, the stripped-down, slightly more budget-friendly U11 Life. Ninety7 aims to redress the balance with the Vaux, a portable speaker dock for the Amazon Alexa Dot. A sleek column covered in a fine mesh, the Vaux is a rather natty-looking speaker. Certainly, compared to the main competition, the Vaux looks as good as some big-brand Bluetooth speakers. The name now seems to be being reused to describe machines like the Raspberry Pi.
