Heather Brown, 60, lives in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. She helps care for her father Ken, 90, who is living with Alzheimer’s disease. She is an ambassador for charity Dementia Carers Count and runs a weekly dementia café and a support group for carers.
She says, “Before COVID-19, Dad would attend day centres and the Wellesbourne Dementia Café, where he loved to socialise, and his days would be full. I would see him nearly every day but now when I see him, I feel guilty because I’m worried about giving him the virus.
