Maxine Wiley, 49, is a senior care worker with Radfield Care Home, Havering. She lives in Essex with her mum, Wendy, 70.
Maxine says, “I love my job, but the current situation has made things so busy. Around a quarter of our staff are self-isolating, but we still have the same number of clients to see. My day starts at 5.45am, and I care for up to nine older clients a day.
“Thankfully, we have the right protective equipment, including goggles, masks and gloves – but it frightens our clients. They panic when they see us all covered up.
