Elis Jones shot an almost perfect 100/299 to take high gun and help Clwyd secure victory in the Welsh Inter-County DTL championship at Mid Wales Shooting Ground, writes Allan Jones.
More than 100 competitors gathered to contest the title, representing Anglesey, Clwyd, Gwynedd, Powys, Mid Glamorgan, Gwent and Dyfed, with Gwent fielding a team of colts and Powys a team of juniors. The weather was dull and damp, contrasting with the mood of the shooters who were bright and cheery.
