Foo Fighters, who release their new album But Here We Are (reviewed last issue) this month, have begun their latest world tour, the band’s first with new drummer Josh Freese who replaces the late Taylor Hawkins. Freese, who was good friends with Hawkins, is a regular drummer for The Vandals and Devo, and has also played with Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, The Residents, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Slash and Weezer.
The band introduced four brand new songs from But Here We Are when they kicked off their 2023 touring schedule at the Bank Of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire, with Rescued, its title song, Under You and Nothing At All among the 21-song set-list.
