As anyone who has read Tracey Thorn’s previous books, the fantastic Bedsit Disco Queen and Another Planet can attest, her personable, chatty writing style together with an incredible eye for detail results in work which perfectly evokes its era. For her latest effort, as the title suggests, Thorn trains her focus on her longtime friend, Lindy Morrison – drummer with The Go-Betweens – and their enduring bond for a frank book which is part biography but ultimately a celebration of knows-no-bounds friendship.
