Unless you've been living on the moon for the past few weeks, you can't have missed the Type 00, a large, two-door coupe that was revealed in early December. Due to its hard, uncompromising and brutalist lines, response to the car has been mixed with those hating it just as strongly as those that love it. Personally, I like it, thinking its long bonnet and low roof line result in the kind of proportions Jaguar's founder and first designer, Sir William Lyons, always preferred. Don't believe me? Look at the 1932 S.S.1 fixedhead coupe as proof.
What's been missed by many, though, is that the Type 00 is purely a concept with even Jaguar admitting it's not a production model but represents the future of the company's design language…
