At 1pm, we’d taken our places, hidden behind a curtain.
Meanwhile, our older boy Finlay, then 2, joined my mum Joanne, 51, and dad Brian, 55, for the procession, starting at Hull City Hall.
Before long, 200 onlookers gathered…
