See, me and my identical sisters – Bernadette and Joanne – were born 10 minutes apart, on 31 October 1970.

A mischievous trio, we’d go trick-or-treating together and, turning 13, we watched the horror film Halloween – from behind the sofa! Scaredy-cats, we’d never been interested in ‘other worldly’ goings-on.

At 17, Joanne and I worked in the same biscuit factory and, one afternoon, my nose had started throbbing, when our supervisor came over to me.
