Creeping down the stairs after tucking my son Indy, two, in for the night, I headed for the sofa.
Getting comfy, I grabbed my PlayStation controller and put on my headset.
The music for my favourite game, Fortnite, blared out of the TV as I adjusted my mic.
‘Are you there, Leila?’ I asked.
My little sister Leila, 24, lived round the corner from me with our dad Robert, 53.
‘Yep, I’m here,’ came her crackly response.
Leila and I gamed together most evenings, and living alone, it was nice to spend time with her as I wound down for the night.
We chatted away as we fired at zombies and tried to save the world on the video game, and talk soon turned to our family pooch.
