Watching my son do his schoolwork, I was pleased with how well he seemed to be getting on.
In the middle of lockdown, seven-year-old, Timothy, was busy learning from home.
‘What are you doing?’ I asked him, as he sketched out some squares on a page.
‘Making a wordsearch,’ he explained from the dining table.
Thankfully, Timothy didn’t mind learning from home.
In fact, he was a homebody, loved being with his family.
For years, he loved going to see my grandma, his great-grandma, Vera.
She’d often tell us about her royal connection.
‘I was born in the same year as the Queen,’ she’d say.
‘And I got married in the same year, too.’
But last December, Grandma passed away at the age of 93.…
