Dumortierite
First discovered in 1881 in the Rhone-Alps area of France, Dumortierite was named after the famous French paleontologist, Eugene Dumortier (1801-1876).
His fossil collection is now in Lyon’s Natural History Museum. This rare blue or violet gemstone is fab for self-control, so if you can’t stick to the diet or ditch the cigs, carry one with you. It can also orderliness, courage and inner peace.
It’s most commonly found in Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, Namibia, Madagascar, Norway, Russia, Sri Lanka, as well as the USA.
