Once you start noticing Dacias in France, you can’t stop. They’re everywhere. Dusters, Sanderos, the old Logan, Lodgy and Dokker, the new Jogger. But the Dacia we’re on our way to see is unlike any of these sensible, low-budget, utilitarian family cars. The Sandrider, Dacia’s first works entry in the dream-crushing Dakar Rally, is a bold step.
Whether it all turns out to be the start of a new chapter, or a footnote to the last one, or a complete red herring, only time will tell.
