Shoba, 33, a former JSE analyst, is accused of masterminding the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Tshegofatso Pule, last year.
Pule, 28, was found hanging from a tree in a secluded area in Roodepoort.
Shoba’s trial was due to start yesterday at the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg. However his lawyer brought a postponement application.
Acting Judge William Karam was informed that Shoba’s legal team was not ready to go to trial.The State, which previously pronounced its readiness to prosecute, did not oppose the application.
Acting Judge Karam said: “Having regard that this postponement application is not opposed, this matter is postponed to the first available date to the defence, being January 17, 2022.…
