It’s not even a general election, but suggestive “only” solutions are flying around, being coalitions, referendums, secession of the Western Cape from the national government, and now a reinvented government of national unity.
The writer of the letter “Let’s form a real government of national unity to benefit South Africa“ (Cape Argus, September 30) is at it once again.
Unpacking his own half-baked little government of national unity (GNU) folly, he conceals the fact that there was a first attempt in 1994, derailed by our oppressors, the National Party (NP), when they agreed to a GNU – but at their own terms.
