Kristin Engel kristin.engel@inl.co.za SENIORS, proving to be young at heart, are gearing up to fulfil an age-old dream of walking the El Camino in Spain next year.
The Golden Walking Girls, Esther Bothma, 69, Antoinette Iske, 73, Annelie Tromp, 69, Marietjie Luyt, 63, and the youngest of the group, Isabel Pelser, 42, have started to raise funds to turn their dreams into reality.
The merry bunch from Parklands, Table View and Philadelphia, collectively decided not to let their age stop them from pursuing this dream and have been fund-raising by selling cookies, pancakes and other baked goods.
