Rob Johnston | Tokai I AM usually in total agreement with councillor Yagyah Adams’s ideas (death penalty, voting for people of honour, etc). I agree with his latest letter (Problem is graft and abuse of locals – Cape Argus, March 31), the violence in Mozambique is not all the fault of Islam.
However, he goes on to say that food, water, housing, work, etc, are rights “given by the Almighty in the Torah, Bible, and Qur’an” and I'm sure that those books did not promise all those things. It would imply that He has fallen down badly, whereas I believe that it is our ANC government that has failed us, not Him.
Perhaps some scholars can clarify what was actually promised?…
