Excitement builds for new Canadian ultra-trail races
Trail running continues to explode in popularity, and this year, trail runners from across North America will get to participate in some highly anticipated new ultras. They include a 200-miler in Ontario put on by the Sinister Sports team (the SOO 200, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., from July 20–26), a new 100-miler in Alberta (the Bow Valley Ultra, on Sept. 27 in Canmore, Alta., put on by Lewiston Ultra Events) and the Alpenglow 100, Coast Mountain Trail Running’s new 100K race in east-central B.C., to be held July 4–6.
