Due to the pandemic, hundreds of races in Canada and the U.S. have been postponed or cancelled. Some have offered registration deferment, some have offered refunds and some are unable to offer much of anything, but hope runners will understand. For runners who race frequently, it can add up, and some are understandably angry, especially if they have also incurred travel expenses. On April 20, Canadian Running received a letter from one such runner, David Craig of Milton, Ont. (see sidebar). We asked three race directors to address the concerns his letter raised, which are shared by many runners.
