WHEN IT COMES to a home away from home, there’s no place like the UK, specifically London. “The UK is the top destination, in terms of global real estate transparency, in the global index,” says Akash Puri, Director, India Sotheby’s International Realty. “UK house prices have recorded the second-largest monthly gain in 15 years this August. The average house price in the UK is £250,000 (indicative price in India around ₹2.5 crore), which is 13 per cent higher than before the pandemic.”
Mayfair, Chelsea, King’s Cross, Hyde Park, Battersea, and Kensington are favourites in Central London. A one-bedroom apartment here costs £875,000-£950,000, says Puri.
