THE UNPREPOSSESSING setting of the Sir James Hawkey Hall for Costsakis Evangelou’s Premier Promotions’ five-bout show became a full-house terrace-style singalong party for Tottenham fan Jamie Bradley.
The only drawback was that the South African-born, Newport-based Garth Noot (1-12-2, 1KO, 142lbs), came for a fight, not for a friendly.
As the taller man, and with a wide-legged stance, Jamie (4-0-1, 143lbs) had not yet lost a round in his pro career.
However, Noot got underneath the Londoner’s jab, which by the end had raised a bump on his left cheek, as he drove himself forward repeatedly to share 57 points apiece on Mark Bates’ ringside card, with Rocky Israel controlling the action.
