It’s a lucky man who gets to go fishing on his wedding anniversary. So far Dean Schultz has been lucky 27 consecutive years, and come June 6 or thereabouts, he’ll once again wet a line to note his nuptials. There is, of course, a back story.
The sixth of June, 1992, happened to fall on a Saturday, and on Friday night, over a fish fry at the Lake View Inn, Dean told his bride of one year that he’d like to hitch up the boat when they got home, to better facilitate a quick getaway in the morning.
“Really,” replied Karen. “That’s what you’ve got planned for tomorrow? Fishing?”
