The SW's main stories included an Alpine Accentor found in the Nanquidno Valley on (2nd to 4th), which ‘showed well’. The pale-morph Booted Eagle left its Cornish residence to go a-wandering, while a dark-morph bird was seen over Lundy late in the month.

CLEVEDON-WESTON-SUPER-MARE: A Pied Flycatcher was at Uphill. Clevedon-Yeo had two Mediterranean Gulls, two Ospreys, two Wood Warblers and two Pied Flycatchers. Sand Point had Common Scoters on three dates, 214 ‘Commic’ Terns, 77 Arctic Terns, three Sandwich Terns, 50 Whimbrels, three Arctic Skuas, two Gannets, two Ospreys, a Dartford Warbler, two Ring Ouzels, and four Pied Flycatchers. Weston-super-Mare had a Spoonbill and Great White Egret.
SEVERNSIDE: There were 59 Black-tailed Godwits, seven Ruff, 16 Sanderling, three Green Sandpipers, a Spotted…
