Crows, aka corvids, are among our most overlooked, underrated and generally forgotten about birds. There is a perception that being all black in plumage and medium sized (for birds, but very large for songbirds or perching birds, ie., passerines), they are lacking in diversity, too common to bother with and perhaps even a touch tricky to bother with, except at a casual glance.
