YOU set your own restrictions – birds seen on your patch, in your county, or bird club area, across the whole UK, or beyond.
YOU decide what and what not to tick.
YOU shape it to suit your lifestyle, location, lockdown restrictions, etc. For example, count subspecies, to make the target more attainable. Or only count birds you’ve photographed, if you’ve found it too easy before.
For all of us, the start of 2021 has been dominated by lockdown – birdwatching has been pretty much restricted to what we can see from our houses, in our gardens, on our daily walks, and for some of us, while leaving the house for work, etc.
