Yamaha GTS1000
The weird and wonderful, hub-centresteered, 1993 GTS got a raw deal. Yes, at just shy of ElOk when an FJ12 was six, it was expensive. Yes, its detuned, 100bhp FZR1000 motor lacked power. And, yes, it was heavy. But its funny front end tracked and braked sublimely, it was classy like the MT-01 and VMAX, and it was also killed off way too early -afterjust a year in the US, by 1999 elsewhere. Except here. This pristine, one-owner, two-key UK example is at Wigan Yamaha, will be serviced and MoT’d when sold and is cheaper than a Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+.
