‘There’s lightness, agility and eagerness I simply didn’t predict ’ IT’S ALMOST TEN years to the day since Bike got a sneaky test of the Tiger 1050, months ahead of its official launch. The giant trailie design of the 955cc Tiger was being swapped for an upright-yet-sporty creature for 2007, with upside-down forks, sports-size 17-inch wheels, radial calipers and the engine from the stonking 1050cc Speed Triple. Fun yet composed, grunty but practical, the prototype was a fine all-round road bike.
