Suzuki offer a generous spec at a modest price, and ridden in isolation the V-Strom is fine – strong motor, good brakes, no bad habits. But it’s a dressed-up road bike, and out of its depth. The Triumph is ace on A-roads, best for pillions, but also has too much of a road feel. Everyone loves the agile, fast, engaging KTM but it’s less inviting for many motorway miles.
