Laura Nyhus, of Perham, MN, joined a local triathlon and bike club when she moved to the area over a decade ago. “There was a youth triathlon looking for volunteers and I met a man, Greg, while we both volunteered in the transition area,” she says. “Two years later we tied the knot and have been married 13 years now!”
Peter Kay, of Calistoga, CA, has a hot take on doping. “Cycling has always had an issue with doping, but so have a lot of other sports,” he says. “The difference is that cycling tries harder than any other sport to be clean. In doing this, the sport ends up airing a lot of dirty laundry in public, to the detriment of its image.”
