The new design by Peter Gill of Kitchens by Peter Gill blended the dark-timber chopping block and chairs with the soft timber floors and the white cabinetry to create a harmonious yet striking appearance that makes a design statement. With a beautiful 100-year-old home in need of some major attention, the owner sought the expertise of Designing Interiors. This kitchen project was a redesign for the client’s mother and the must-have list presented to Kitchens U Build had quite a few boxes on it that needed to be ticked. Aside from needing to deliver a generous amount of storage space, the kitchen had to be functional, have an easy-to-use layout, and feel as bright and airy as possible. Space was also required so the homeowner could display her treasured keepsakes in open view.
