Membership in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is open to members of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Asian Development Bank. The Board of Governors of the bank is responsible for decisions on new members.
Regional members are those located within areas classified as Asia and Oceania by the UN, except as otherwise decided by the Board of Governors.
