BRANDON CARD’S STORY begins on May 13, 2001, at Douglas Lake in eastern Tennessee. It’s the final day of the Bassmaster Megabucks tournament, and Brandon, age 15, and his brother Jordan, age 17, are part of the flotilla of spectators following Rick Clunn, Mark Davis and Jay Yelas.
