The Douglasville, Ga., angler captured a 17-pound, 9.6-ounce largemouth from B.T. Brown Reservoir in Coweta County, Ga., on March 30, which was also Watkins’ 51st birthday.
“To be honest, it was quite shocking,” Watkins said. “You don’t really plan for that.”
