Lake Baccarac
Some 30,000 acres at full pool, Baccarac lays claim to a 19.1-pound lake record largemouth. The lake, about 90 miles east of Los Mochis on Mexico’s western coast, stretches 25 miles amid steep, rocky shorelines, much of it covered with brush that grew up when the lake was low.

Lake El Salto
In the foothills of the Sierra Madre, just an hour and 15 minutes from the Mazatlan airport, El Salto is probably Mexico’s most well-known bass lake. This impoundment of the Elota River ranges from 17,000 to 25,000 acres, depending on the season, and consistently produces both stunning numbers and eye-popping giants.
