In terms of overall hitting development, the Mets seem to be dialed in on young hitters leaning into their best traits, as a pitcher would lean into his best pitch. So for Mark Vientos or Ryan Clifford, that would be power. For someone like Luisangel Acuña, it would be zone contact.
