Let’s face it: Harley’s Touring lineup is composed of some pretty heavy metal—literally. Even for average-size riders, pushing an 850-plus-pound machine from a perch 30 inches off the ground can occasionally become a wrestling match. Tough shit, right? Big chrome, big power, and gobs of cargo capacity have long been hallmarks of Harley’s bulletproof Touring bikes, and with a huge menu of models featuring everything from low-slung baggers to full-boat dressers, you’d think there’d be a bike here to please any-distance rider. And there is, mostly—unless you’re on the shorter side. If you are a smaller rider, there’s a good chance that all that weight, carried up high, can be a bit intimidating, especially if you can’t get your feet flat on the ground at a stop.
