In the barbecue world, burnt ends are the most flavorful part of the brisket. So here we are in our last installment in the series of upgrades we’ve made to our factory- fresh ’15 Road Glide. In the last two episodes, the bike has seen some changes in the way of a premium cartridge fork kit, a new front wheel and brakes, an upgraded sound system, and some cosmetic accessories that have successfully “darkened” its complexion. Having been part of the Hot Bike Tour since day one, I have to tell you that it’s the best event in the world for a two-wheeled enthusiast. Earlier this year, Jim Nasi and Bahn Products unveiled this 2015 Street Glide during Daytona Bike Week. It’s an industrial-style Harley, blending form and function in Nasi’s clean, no-bullshit style. Being in any industry for almost 20 years is quite a feat. HELLO, I really enjoyed the July 2015 article “Going Moto-Camping?” by Wes Drelleshak where he was “roughing” it while camping. I decided to compare what he used for rough camping versus what I have used in the past to maybe help me with my future rough camping trips. I found myself leaving one of those real biker parties where no picture taking is allowed. Since I had little-to-no sleep after about 30 hours of endless partying, I decided I must do some rough camping before falling asleep on my bike. I just made it to a cemetery somewhere close to the Mississippi River and pulled way in the back out of sight. TCX X-Garage Boots I haven’t taken these boots off since I got them a couple weeks ago. I put 300 easy miles on them last Saturday, did a weekend of city walking the week before, and have been generally abusing them to the best of my ability every day in between. They are terribly comfortable. The lightweight rubber sole has stood up to my shuffle-footed walking style much better than I had anticipated. The thick leather upper broke in quickly and, while supportive in the ankle, is not restrictive when walking or lifting up for the shifter or brake pedal.
