Air-cooled engines rock. Fins just look right. I don’t know why, but they do. But does technology care about history, heritage, and snappy looks, or do icons disappear?
If Elvis is the measure, maybe icons can live forever. But if Roy Rogers is the yardstick, forever isn’t very long.
Roy Rogers was hugely famous. He was the original squinty-eyed cowboy. At the height of his career, like Elvis, Roy was a king: King of the Cowboys. He had his own TV show. He starred in more than 100 movies. He sang. He was so famous that his wife Dale, horse Trigger, and dog Bullet were famous. He wore a gun, he shot bad guys, and sometimes he drove a Jeep.
A Jeep? Yeah, that Jeep confused me.
