The government has confirmed the first 19 EVs eligible for its Electric Car Grant (ECG), naming cars from Renault, Nissan, Vauxhall and Citroën.
The ECG is applicable to EVs priced at £37,000 or under, depending on the emissions footprint of the country of manufacture, and awards discounts of either £1500 or £3750. The first batch contains some of the cheapest EVs on sale already, making the £1500 discount all the more significant.
