These apps are often cheaper than a portable unit, too, and can now nearly match the guidance and features found in premium models. They’re constantly updated, as well. We lined it up against its closest rival, the TomTom Go, looking for easy interfaces, efficient guidance, and features such as traffic and speedcamera alerts. Price was the final factor.
