IF you’re after an easy-to-drive SUV, the Honda CR-V is a solid, if unexciting, choice. It looks sharp enough outside, and while the interior is a little dull, it’s very practical as well as pretty sturdy. It lacks outright driving enjoyment but is smooth and simple on the road; the car is relatively quiet at speed, while the nine-speed automatic gearbox changes nicely.
