With the birth of the new Transporter the Bulli family, consisting of the Multivan, the ID. Buzz and now the new Transporter, is complete, a myth that has lasted for more than seventy years. Bulli is a fusion, in German, of Bu (Bus) and Li (Lieferwagen), which stands in English for bus and van. “This,” adds Kirzinger, “collects the stylistic features of its six predecessors, offering a new interpretation. It is a new beginning, a bridge between a long tradition, the present and the future.”
