“Ten years ago, the Salsa concept indicated Seat’s new design language. We have now renewed that vision with the Ibe.” Luc Donckerwolke, design director for the Spanish brand, speaks more in terms of evolution than revolution to explain the meaning of the prototype unveiled at Geneva last March.
Rather than denying the past or marking the end of an aesthetic direction, it reaffirms the values of the brand and projects them into the near future. “Seat is a young, sporty brand focused on emotion”, continues Donckerwolke. “This emotiveness, however, is not based on design fireworks, but on a minimum number of well measured elements.
