The final design for Aubin Grove Station in Perth’s southern suburbs, which includes six new bus feeder services, was revealed recently.
With almost 4,000 people a day expected to use the station when it opens next year the Western Australian Government is confident the new station will make public transport an easy option for many more people, and care is being taken to keep rail services running during construction.
“To minimise any disruption, most of the structure will be assembled off-site and lifted by crane into place over the freeway and rail line,” transport minister Dean Nalder says.
Passenger amenities include public toilets, a kiosk, ticket and add-value machines, public art, a 2,000-bay car park and a dedicated drop-off area and bicycle facilities.
