PERCHED PERFECTLY ON A PALOS VERDES, California, hillside, this 1961 home was a dream discovery for Justin and Nicole Rheem. “The moment we saw it, we fell in love,” Nicole recalls. The couple, both doctors and parents of two young children, had been searching for a Mid Century Modern home after falling in love with the style years earlier. “During the pandemic, with both of us being health care workers, we traveled to Palm Springs to have vacations out of the city because we couldn’t travel anywhere else,” Nicole says.
