Conceived after the Black Saturday Bushfires, the Arts Springs for Wildlife Exhibition & Festival looks to the urgent need to act for our wildlife and environment. Creative responses to our relationship with nature; as a source of imaginative, spiritual, and physical nourishment and inspiration, celebrating its forms or critiquing our place in the Anthropocene, are expressed in paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, photography, weaving, and other works by emerging and professional artists at Berry School of Arts on the South Coast of New South Wales, from 29 September to 3 October. The onset of Spring brings the opportunity to explore Western Australia's Margaret River Region Open Studios trail and see what the many emerging and established artists, designers, and crafters from the locale have been working on through the winter months. The Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival in rural New South Wales is celebrating a twenty-year milestone with its biggest ever Sculpture in the Vineyards event. From 10 to 25 September, Wollombi Valley's rich green landscape, the township, six galleries, two vineyards, and neighbouring Laguna will be showcasing a vast array of small and largescale sculptures by local, regional, national, and international sculptors. This year, the Festival is offering free tours for school groups, a 90-minute guided walk, and talks from some of the sculptors.
